Visit by Taiwan’s First Lady

The First Lady of Taiwan, Madam Chow Mei-ching, visited RBGE on 12 August with a delegation that included the Taiwan Representative to the UK, Shen Lyu-shun. Madam Chow was given a tour of the Demonstration Garden, the Queen Mother’s Memorial Garden, the Glasshouses and the Herbarium. The visit highlights RBGE’s historical links with Taiwan through our living and preserved collections, and our current collaborations in science and conservation with Academia Sinica in Taipei and the Cecilia Koo Botanic Conservation Centre in Pingtung County.
