A new visitor centre will soon open at Dawyck Botanic Garden near Peebles in the Scottish Borders. Construction work has taken place during the winter months and the facility is scheduled to open in early summer, greatly enhancing the visitor experience at this awesome arboretum in the Scottish Borders.
The Dawyck Visitor Centre will comprise a café serving refreshments and light lunches, a studio and larger retail facilities, with a special selection of botanical gifts and books as well as a range of hardy plants reflecting the Garden's collection. The studio will provide space for exhibitions and for visitors to view a film exploring the history of the Garden, its location and its role within the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
