The run of the two-part soundscape installation Dialogues of Wind and Bamboo has been extended for two weeks, so visitors have until 13 July to experience this celebration of the versatile bamboo.
Dialogues of Wind and Bamboo is a two part installation: an external sculpture and an interactive sound installation. Three Pieces, the interactive sound installation, is a collaboration between robots, living plants and traditional Chinese musical instrument, set within the Temperate Palm House, while Natural Progression is a bamboo sculpture made from 600 pieces of black bamboo on the Lower Birch Lawn near the Chinese Hillside
Dialogues of Wind and Bamboo is an iMAP production supported by the Scottish Arts Council and the Dunard Foundation. It is part of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh's China Now programme of events.
