Botanic Garden’s Regius Keeper is Conferred Professor

Simon Milne MBE, Regius Keeper of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE), has been conferred an Honorary Professor of the University of Edinburgh. As part of this, he is now associated to the School of Biological Sciences.

The honour, which is initially conferred for a period of two years, recognises his role at the helm of RBGE with which the University has a close working relationship for more than 300 years.

Professor Milne’s first engagement in his new role was to meet Professor David Gray, Head of School at the School of Biological Sciences, who officially welcomed him to The King's Buildings campus. He later commented:  “This is a great honour. I very much look forward to forming an even closer association with the University of Edinburgh”.
