Benmore Plant Sale

Sunday 1 June, 12 - 5pm. Free admission.

Benmore Botanic Garden, near Dunoon, will be opening its gates free of charge on Sunday 1 June. Come along and enjoy the Annual Plant Sale and Craft Fair held in the Courtyard and in the atmospheric Courtyard Gallery.

As well as outdoor plants, shrubs and household plants, this year there will be colourful flower pouches on sale. In addition, 15 craft stalls will offer quality goods, many of them locally made, including mosaics, cards, jewellery and unique garments. The ever popular cake and candy stall will also be housed in the Gallery and Andy Maclachlan will be demonstrating his chain saw skills with his carving being one of the raffle prizes.

The Benmore Explorer will offer trips around the Garden with priority given to the less mobile.

A Silent Auction is to be held for Peter Cox and Sir Peter Hutchison's new book, "Seeds of Adventure" which has been generously signed and donated by the authors. A bookstall specialising in plant and garden books will also be in the Courtyard.

For younger visitors there will be a Treasure Hunt and all participating will receive a small prize.

Car parking will be supervised and a minibus will take passengers and their purchases to and from the Courtyard.

Money raised for this event will go towards the restoration of the Benmore Fernery, so come along, have a great day, and enjoy the beauty of Benmore!
