As a direct result of concerns expressed by our Members in regards to members of the public on an increasingly frequent basis entering Benmore Botanic Garden without paying admission fees, we are delighted to announce the implementation of a more secure entry system.
As of 1 March 2011 all visitors to the Garden including Members must obtain a valid ticket and day pass sticker, to be worn on outer clothing, from the admission desk before entry. Friends and guests of Members must have paid admission to enter the garden. Newly appointed Rangers and Garden staff carry out inspections ensuring all visitors have paid. The Rangers will also be promoting membership and the other three gardens.
The continued maintenance and development of the Garden depends on the income generated by admission fees and membership subscriptions. RBGE has received positive feedback with this initiative and would like to thank all Members in advance for their co-operation.
