Data Protection Act 1998

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh has registers and complies with the terms of the 1998 Data Protection Act. In complying with the terms of the Act, the Garden only obtains, retains and records such information as it requires to support the activities of the institution and in doing so uses the information only for the purposes for which it was collected.

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh complies with and applies the terms and directives of the Health and Safety at Work Act. Policy and procedures, as well as working practices have been developed to ensure that the Garden meets these commitments.
